The Surf Bus – Surfing Kona Red
With accurate buoy reports and swell reports, surfing has changed, and for the better. Smaller boards, better floatation, warmer wetsuits, etc. We search for perfect conditions with surf from the 3′ - 4′ surf window up to chest and head high conditions.
Back in the 60′s, the 1st Street Pier was the scene for thousands of surfers. Then in the 70′s and 80′s Cocoa Beach and Melbourne were very popular. Today, we can go further. We can go further more comfortably and cheaper. Surfing Kona Red takes the hassle out of finding and getting to surf. Join our group of adventurers as we take South Florida surfing North.
“It’s my belief that surfing is headed for respectability once again. There will always be crowds of surfers, but this can only be blamed on the thrill of the sport, the unequaled exhilaration of flying down the face of a moving, green force and becoming a part of nature for a few moments. Surfing will be popular as long as man can drive out of the city and away from the rat race and paddle out in the surf and his thought. As long as there are waves capable of carrying surfers, there will be men to ride them. Surfing is one of the great sports.”
